1.0 - Cancellation

Cancellation is defined as a student that cancels program enrollment within the 72 hour cancellation period. If the program is cancelled within the 72 hour cancellation period the student is free from any financial obligation and will receive a full refund within 30 days after the notice of cancellation is received.

To submit a program cancellation complete the following form within 72 hours of the program enrollment date: https://bit.ly/ngt-cancel-withdraw

Or, submit an email within 72 hours of the program enrollment date to support@nexgent.com from the email address you used to enroll with NexGenT / NGT Academy with a subject line of ‘Program Cancellation’ and include clear details of your request to cancel within the body of the email. Please also include your full name and program details.

2.0 - Withdrawal

Withdrawal is defined as a student who withdraws from their enrolled program after the 72 hour cancellation deadline.

Note, if you are not eligible for refund under our policies and have unpaid balance, then you are responsible for paying your unpaid balance. Any payments that are past 45 days due we may be obliged to report you to the credit bureau which may affect your credit score.

Refunds for withdrawals are determined in accordance with the TUITION REFUND POLICY as described below. For the purpose of determining a refund if applicable under this section, a student shall be deemed to have withdrawn from a course of instruction when any of the following occurs:

  • The student notifies the institution of their intent to withdraw via the completion of the following form: (https://bit.ly/ngt-cancel-withdraw). The student may optionally send an email to support@nexgent.com from the email address used to enroll with NexGenT / NGT Academy with a subject line of ‘Program Withdrawal’ and include clear details of your request to withdraw within the body of the email. Please also include your full name and program details. Once the email or form is received, you will be sent the instructions to complete the withdrawal process. Failure to follow the process will deem the request incomplete. The notification is effective on the date the notice is sent. The failure of a student to immediately notify NexGenT / NGT Academy in writing of the student’s intent to withdraw may delay a refund of tuition to the student pursuant to state laws.

  • The institution terminates the student’s enrollment for failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution; and/or failure to meet financial obligations to NexGenT / NGT Academy.

The official termination date of enrollment shall be the student’s last day with access to the program/courses. Students who withdraw due to an emergency, such as personal or family illness or national service, maybe re-enrolled into another program/course following approval by NexGenT / NGT Academy.

Students enrolled in NexGenT programs that have a subscription-based payment model may cancel their subscription and withdraw at any time. Please note that any payments that were already made toward the program or product from which a student withdraws are non-refundable. This also includes enrollment and processing fees.

2.3 - Income Share Agreement (Not available as of December 2021)

An Income Share Agreement is a legal contract between student and school. The ISA contract outlines that in exchange for the provision of education to a student, said student agrees to pay a fixed percentage of their income for a fixed duration of time. Payment occurs when a student is employed and earning above a predetermined minimum salary. The ISA contract has a Payment Cap that clearly indicates the most a student would pay given the terms of their ISA contract.

Instead of paying tuition upfront, enrolled students may choose to sign an Income Share Agreement (ISA). An ISA is a legally binding agreement representing a responsibility to pay NexGenT a portion of future income. Income Share Agreements are not a form of debt, nor are they a loan. They have no interest rate or principal balance. Students who are selected and elect the ISA option agree to pay a percentage of their post-program gross income (i.e., before taxes) with monthly payments, but only when students' income exceeds the minimum salary requirement set forth in the contract. The ISA option is capped at a maximum of the amount that is specified in your ISA contract. If students get a job before graduation, they cannot be considered withdrawn and their ISA will be due in full with no pro-rated refund.

If a student is approved and offered the payment option of an ISA and decides to sign an Income Share Agreement (ISA), the following refund policy will be applicable.
