We understand the career search process is very daunting, so we’re here to help! A personal coaching session allows you to meet with a professional to discuss topics such as matching your experiences to the right career choice, how to write an impactful resume, interview best-practices, or how can you get connected with NexGenT alumni.

Who Do I Meet With?

Our entire staff works to continuously understand the impacts of changing landscapes of IT so that we can provide the critical knowledge needed to help ensure you are successful. While working with our Career Service team, you will meet with a Career Coach, and mentors from NexGenT and throughout the industry. You will also utilize the power of our NexGenT community to learn from each other and ultimately help each other attain your dream IT job.

When and what will we meet about?

Our Career Services team will work with students from different programs at different times. Please see below to find the program you are enrolled in to understand how and when our Career Services team will work with you.

FSNE Basic Training

During Module 1 in the Network Engineering course, our team will take you through all of the fundamentals you need to start your journey into successfully landing your dream IT job. This includes setting up daily habits, goals and creating a vision board using Trello. After you create your vision board, you will set-up your first call with a Career Coach.

Call 1: Career Coach

During the first call with your Career Coach, you will go over your goals on your vision board on Trello. We’ll work together to make sure you have a plan in place to help you reach your goals. We’ll also check-in to make sure that you have access to all of the necessary tools in the program to help you reach success.

Call 2: Meet with an Instructor

After your first Career Coaching call, you will be sent a follow-up email with a link to schedule your next 1:1 coaching call with an instructor. We recommend scheduling that call 3-4 weeks after your first call with your Career Coach. During this call, a NexGenT instructor will help provide you motivation and positively challenge you to continue working and following the success plan you made on your vision board in your first Career Coaching call.

Program Completion:

Upon reporting your success in earning your CCNA and graduating from FSNE Basic Training, you will get personalized help from our Career Service team. Our Career Service team will ask you to take the Career Planning survey to assess where we can best help you. Following the survey, you will schedule a personal coaching session that allows you to meet with a professional to discuss topics such as matching your experiences to the right career choice, how to write an impactful resume, interview best-practices, or how can you get connected with NexGenT alumni.

Our Career Services team will work with you until you land your dream IT job!
