The Employer Network is comprised of over 200 talent acquisition professionals from leading IT companies and recruitment firms who have opted in to receive the resumes of NGT students.
Below is an explanation of the various ways you will be featured to these employers.
Monthly Resume Books
Each month, we send a resume book of the latest NGT students to the Employer Network. In order to get into the monthly resume book, your resume must be approved by a Career Coach. Generally, resume books are sent the last Tuesday of each month. If you don’t get your resume approved in time, don’t worry! You will have an opportunity to be included in the next month’s resume book.
Below is a screenshot of the monthly resume book email.
The resume books are self-serve and available for employers to access at any time. If an employer is interested in arranging an interview, they will most likely contact you directly. Once included in the resume book, your resume will remain available there for employers, unless you explicitly ask us to remove your resume.
Beyond the resume books, we highlight the top performing students via a monthly Candidate Roundup newsletter.
Candidate Roundup Newsletter
Only once you have received your industry certification are you eligible to be featured in the Candidate Roundup newsletter. This newsletter is also emailed to the Employer Network each month (typically mid-month, in between resume books) and highlights specific NGT graduates.
How do you get featured in the Candidate Roundup newsletter?
You first must register for the Verified Talent Network (VTN). Upon graduating (e.g. completing all of your milestones and obtaining your industry certification), you will receive an invite to register. If you have graduated and not yet received an invite, please inquire why with your Career Coach.
Finally, in addition to the monthly newsletters outlined above, employers also engage our students via hiring events. These events are sometimes hosted by NGT. Other times, they are hosted by our employer partners. The events can take many forms and often include career fairs, employer spotlights, fireside chats, and beyond!

Information about upcoming events will be posted in the NGT Online Community and/or sent to the email address you have on file with NGT Academy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are the answers to common questions we receive about the Employer Network.
Who is in the Employer Network?
The Employer Network is comprised of leading enterprise employers from the private and public sectors, as well as recruitment firms that specialize in IT and cybersecurity. NGT graduates that qualify are invited to register for the Employer Network. Once registered, their resumes are then shared with employers and recruitment firms that are currently hiring.
How do I qualify?
To qualify for inclusion in the NGT Resume Book database, your IT-focused resume must be approved by a Career Coach. To join the Employer Network and be featured in the Candidate Roundup newsletter, you must graduate from NGT Academy, which includes completing all milestones (both technical and career) and obtaining your industry certification.
What happens once I qualify? How do I register?
Once you qualify (e.g. graduate), an invitation will be automatically sent to you titled, ‘Welcome to the NGT Employer Network’. This email will provide instructions on how to register for the Employer Network. Upon completing the registration, an NGT Recruitment Specialist will then start sharing your resume with relevant employers and call or email you directly if any employers express interest in your resume.
Where is my resume shared? To which employers? Which positions?
Your resume will be shared with some of the leading enterprise employers and recruitment firms specializing in IT and cybersecurity. We do not disclose the name of the employers nor details regarding the position until a specific employer expresses interest in your resume. Once an employer expresses interest in your resume, your Career Coach or an NGT Recruitment Specialist will reach out with details regarding the specific employer, position, and next steps.
When will I hear back after registering for the employer network?
You will only hear back if/when an employer expresses interest in your resume. We will do our best to provide you with timely feedback, but due to the volume of candidates and employers in the network, we cannot guarantee a response unless an employer specifically expresses interest in your resume. Once an employer expresses interest in your resume, your Career Coach or an NGT Recruitment Specialist will reach out with details regarding the next steps.
Should I continue with my personal job search?
Yes. There is no guarantee that you will be hired from the Employer Network. This service is meant to be a supplemental effort, in addition to your personal job search.
