Issue:

When attempting to install Cisco Packet Tracer on macOS 10.14 (or earlier), you may see a message saying that macOS 10.15 or later is required, even though the download page mentions 10.14 as the minimum version.

Cause:

Despite the listed requirement, the latest version of Packet Tracer needs macOS 10.15 or newer to function properly.

Resolution:

To fix this issue, update your Mac to macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or a later version:

  1. Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Software Update.

  2. Follow the prompts to install the latest version supported by your Mac.

Once updated, return to the Cisco Networking Academy site and re-download Packet Tracer.
